Synopsis

“THE GUN”! How can Jessica Cruz trust Simon Baz, when he doesn’t even trust the Green Lantern ring they both wear? The partners finally discuss the gun Simon carries and why!

Plot

Halloween in Dearborn, Michigan: Jessica Cruz is over at Simon Baz's big sister home, because she agreed to have dinner with his family, a choice the anxious Green Lantern is regretting, as the number of people and the excitement is taxing on her mental health. She tries to make break for it but Simon catches her, and the pair make a deal she helps make the Ma'Amoul Cookies, a Lebanese desert and she doesn't need to make small talk with his family.

In the kitchen, Jessica learns that Simon's mother is coming to dinner, and Simon has always felt like a failure in her eyes. Then while making the cookies, Simon freaks out about the dough and flies off. Jessica catches up to him this time and the pair talk about, how Simon's mother treated him and how she will be proud of him now.

The Green Lanterns return to the house and bake the cookies just in time for the arrival of Mrs. Baz. Simon greets her in his Green Lantern uniform and explains he is hero, and she excepts his decision to be a "space cop".

The happy moment is interrupted when they hear Farid yell from the attic, where he was watching Rami. It seems that Rami sensed the approach of the Dominators and fled with the Phantom Ring.
